Keith Vaz's Early Day Motions

Now back at work Keith has supported three early day motions and is primary sponsor on the Appointment of the first Black High Curt judge, sending his congratulations to Linda Dobbs QC. More on her appointment from the Guardian.

Mr Vaz has also supported Early Day Motions for congratulating Olympic boxer Amir Khan, a statue of Nelson Mandela in Trafalgar Square and regretting the cuts in Nottingham's Childline service.

Elsewhere, an article from the Guardian on public trust, reporting the survey by the committee on standards in public life has a mention of Vaz, relating to his role in the Hinduja passport scandal and suggesting that this had largely faded from people's minds. The article is a good read in general, interesting and amusing stuff.
